At EN Milo, we believe that without sustainable practices there can be no balance between tourism development and environment. For this reason, since 2014 we have linked the development of our unit with the energy upgrade of all our facilities. EN Milo is classified as energy category A. We invest in renewable forms of energy, we heat water using 100% solar energy, we do complete management of our liquid waste, and we have a zero waste policy for food in our kitchen. In addition, we have invested in electric vehicles to transport our guests and promote the use of bicycles (ordinary or electric) to explore Milos. Finally, our staff is constantly trained in energy saving methods and we encourage our guests to adopt similar practices during their stay.

Some of our typical projects are
- Installation of a 13KW photovoltaic system which covers 40% of our total electricity needs
- Biological water purification unit with simultaneous use of the produced water for irrigating our gardens, with a capacity of 10m3 of water per day, covering 100% of our unit
- Public electric vehicle charging stations 22kW.
- Solar hot water collectors with a total capacity of 5m3, which cover 100% of our hot water needs.
- Cooperation with cleaning company “Planet” in order to provide integrated cleaning solutions, friendly to the environment.
